... it was another day viewing the birdlife on the Upper Back Bay in Newport Beach California when I noticed someone with a small telescope ... hello there, may I ask what this is? Sure, take a look! Amazed with the sharp, crisp, close-up nature views, I had discovered Spotting Scopes and decided to go all-in! Researching optics, I chose Swarovski. Now geared up with a quality field spotting scope, it was close-up bird watching on the Back Bay. Then, by coupling my Nikon to the Swarovski scope, I was filming what I was seeing zoomed in! Amazing! Now defined as Digiscoping and my entire method of filming birdlife and nature. Friends wowed the images and suggested enter your photos! Winning Honorable Mentions with the California Coastal Commission in San Francisco and Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, later Swarovski OPTIK Austria for a B&W Egrets Roosting photo posted along with Arctic Wolves winter on their global website. I was thrilled with the grand recognitions. Now filming birdlife in the Brownsville area of the Lower Rio Grande Valley, I continue to photograph in the field and share with you my gallery of all the birds.
